Middle School "Teen Center" Program

Shoreline Teen Center (The Club) opened in fall of 2001 to serve the students of the Live Oak School District. We were the recipients of a 21st Century Grant for community centers built with partnerships of local agencies to serve the families of Live Oak School District by offering a quality after school program for Shoreline Middle School students. In 2004, the Santa Cruz County Boys & Girls Club took over the administration of the Shoreline Middle School Teen Center.

Students receive homework assistance, organized activities, and a safe place to hang out. The Program includes:

•An Academic Center where students receive homework assistance
•A Tech Center where students use a variety of technologies for academic support and recreational purposes
•A Recreation Center that includes a clubhouse, a full-time recreational leader to organize field sports, court games, and swimming
•Field trips to local educational and recreational spots and community service projects
•Nutritional snacks served twice daily.
